Event Space

The Lodge offers a variety of rooms available for special events. Occasionally an event may call for the closing of a recreation area for noise consideration and we request that members comply with these temporary closures.

If you wish to reserve any room, you must contact  the Catering Coordinator at The Lakehouse Hotel and Resort. 760-653-3210. If approved, you will be subject to the below rules.

 
  1. In most cases, a set-up/clean-up fee is required for room use.  The Lakehouse Catering Department will provide you the proper pay schedule for your room reservation.

  2. You must be in good standing to rent rooms for events

    1. Lake San Marcos Clubs and Organizations can use the event space complimentary if attendance is over 90% of members in good standing.

  3. If you are sponsoring an event you must be in attendance

  4. The member who is sponsoring the event is solely responsible for the event space

  5. All functions of 10 or more people must be approved by the Lakehouse Catering department

  6. Members can book their meetings/events 90 days in advance

  7. Lodge members may bring in their own food for events but outside caterers are not allowed.  If you would like your event catered, you are required to procure the services of the catering department at the Lakehouse Hotel and Resort.

    1. When a catering company is used the member may be fined.

  8. Alcoholic beverage sales are regulated by the State of California, therefore, no liquor may be brought to any event from an outside source.   

    1. In the event that you wish to have liquor at your event, it must be serviced directly through the Lakehouse catering department and the order must be placed a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your event.  Contact the Lakehouse Catering Department for further information.  

    2. There will be a $1,000 fine for any violation of this rule.

 
  1. A $50 or 50% deposit (whichever is greater) is required at the time of reservation, for any room.  

Deposits are nonrefundable

  1. The Lakehouse reserves the right to require a refundable cleaning and repair deposit as well as requiring security services at your cost.  

  2. All events require to have a credit card on file, and submit the signed Credit Card Form.

  3. You may pay with a check, cash or cashier’s check.  

    1. Any personal checks must be received two weeks prior to your event.  

    2. All checks to be made out to St Mark Golf.  

    3. Any check returned, marked NSF, will result in a $ 25 returned check fee applied against the credit card on file.

  4. Cleaning, furniture, fixture, and equipment replacement or repairs will be charged to the event host/ member.  The member will be informed of the charge prior to placing it on the credit card on file

  5. It is very important that you do not come to prepare for your party before the scheduled set-up time.  

    1. Please be courteous to those attending a function that may not be finished when you arrive.  

  6. All functions must be finished by their scheduled time to allow clean-up, breakdown and set-up for the next scheduled event.  

    1. Penalty fees may be incurred for this violation.  

    2. Any of your personal items not removed from the facilities within 24 may be donated or disposed of without notice.

  7. You must bring your own supplies when decorating the event space

    1. Use of the following is prohibited:

nails, screws, staples, thumbtacks, push pins, glitter, straw, hay, scotch tape or duct tape, dancing powder and rice.

  1. Linens are not provided and are the sole responsibility of the event host/ member.

  2. Due to insurance limitations, we will no longer supply guests with ladders or allow guests to use their own for decorating.  This includes standing on chairs.  If help is needed, please ask for assistance.

  3. No amplified music after 10:00pm

  4. There will be a banquet staff member assigned to your event who will give you access the day of and be available to close the room when your group is finished.

  5. The Lodge does NOT supply any of the following:

    1. projection equipment, electrical equipment, bulletin boards, poster boards, easels or extension cords

  6. The Lodge is not responsible for any theft or loss of items at the facilities.
