“While attending the Golf Academy of America I earned a certificate in Advanced Teaching and Club Repair; which lead me to my passion for teaching the game of golf. My philosophy is that no matter how skilled you are, having fun should be the number one priority while learning and playing golf. By simplifying and making lessons fun instead of work, the student naturally learns to become more aware of what they are doing in their own swing and why. I believe a strong base of fundamentals (grip, posture, and alignment) is the key to desirable outcomes. It is the camaraderie of the game that I enjoy most and I look forward to creating that environment with all of my students.”

GRAHAM DUPAR, First ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
“I am a graduate of the Golf Academy of America and have vast experience teaching children and adults of all ages. I like to instruct by keeping to a philosophy of swinging through athletic movements. Golf is a sport, and I find that technical jargon can often times confuse or distract the player. Visualization of every shot and athletic movements are keys to my instruction, and so important to success in golf. I love to teach short game and putting because they are the aspects of the game where eager students can improve almost instantly, leading to immediately lower scores. Patience is my greatest virtue when coaching and my main goal is to make sure everyone enjoys the game to its fullest.”

I developed as a Golf instructor through my time at the Professional Golfers Career College, where I graduated top of my class and realized my passion for growing the game. I have over six years of coaching and teaching experience, and believe in a strong mental foundation. If I had to describe my teaching philosophy in 10 words or less, it would be to “swing your swing with a purpose every time.” This philosophy implies that I will work with your natural, athletic swing in order to improve it, so you can play consistently to the best of your ability. I believe everyone has a unique swing that can produce amazing results, and that’s what makes golf so fun and interesting to teach. This philosophy also shows that I believe in the power of practice. Every swing, practice or real, should mean something. Working with me, you will focus on proper alignment, visualization, and confidence throughout every golf swing. By building on a strong mental foundation, you will undoubtedly improve your game by avoiding drastic swing changes. My teaching style is perfect for students with physical limitations or those that feel comfortable in their swing but want to gain that “mental edge.” Call the shop to speak with me any day or feel free to shoot me an email.
