If you are like most golfers, your dad was a huge influence on you when learning the game of golf. If you're like those lucky enough, some of your fondest memories with your father are from time spent on the course. I dedicate this post to my dad, my golf mentor and best friend, and all other golf-crazy dads who are making time to grow the game by introducing their young ones to it.

Nearly 75 million people played fantasy football, the absolute and almighty king of the fantasy sports realm, in 2015 according to the New York Post. It is estimated by Forbes that 32 million Americans spent roughly $15 billion total playing Fantasy Football last year alone. It is a huge moneymaking “derivative” industry for the NFL that generates tremendous interest, passion, and loyalty to the league.
Realistically, it is a pipe dream to ever expect Fantasy Golf to take off in the same way Fantasy Football has over the past twenty years. However, if you’re a golfer, you know the game is in a very fragile state. Interest is waning, time is short, lives are busy, and the game is getting more and more exclusive and expensive.
However, the immense popularity of fantasy sports has created an opportunity for the PGA tour to attain a new level of loyalty and interest in the sport. I have worked at St. Mark Golf Club for seven years. I have no loyalty to the PGA Tour but I will always do everything I possibly can to allow the game to grow.

There are few things less tolerable during four-plus hours of Golf than being forced to ignore or endure a buddy of yours that can’t seem to hold it together on the course. Every golfer has someone in mind who, under normal circumstances may be the most down-to-earth, docile creature walking this Earth; however on the Golf Course a switch flips and they turn into Godzilla in a beret. But they are your buddy nonetheless, and you’re a trooper, so you agree to play with them time and time again. Here are some Do’s and Don’ts for enjoying a round of golf with a partner prone to temper tantrums.
